Conference Venue

The Conference will be held in Padova which is one of the most charming and dynamic cities in Italy. The city centre boasts a wealth of fine medieval, renaissance and modern architecture; here a fascinating mix of historic and new, of centuries-old traditions combined with metropolitan rhythms creates a unique atmosphere. The medieval palaces, churches and cobbled streets emanate a sense of history and culture, the shops, markets and locals, a sparkling vitality and vibrant modern life.

The province of Padova has a vast cultural and artistic heritage and great natural assets. One has only to think of the Euganean Hills’ rich flora and history, of the countless villas and castles scattered all over the area, the medieval walled towns, the medieval monasteries and abbeys, the old farm houses surrounded by wide expanses of fields, the network of rivers, streams and canals leading to the Venetian lagoon, a portion of which belongs to the province of Padova.

It can be reached very easily by car and train. The nearest and by far the most convenient airport is Venice “Marco Polo”, 40 kilometers East of Padova. Other smaller airports near Padova are Verona and Treviso.

Conference will be held in the “Sala Paladin” of Palazzo Moroni, opposite the Palazzo Bo, historic main building of Padova University. Palazzo Moroni facing Piazza delle Erbe is connect to the Palazzo della Ragione, a Medieval Palace of the Council of Elders, and to the Tower overlooking the Piazza della Frutta, and the wing-Scarpari Moretti, built between the two World Wars on Via VIII in February to become the new headquarters offices of the City Hall.
